In 2010 Rita embarked on a B.A. Visual Art in Dublin Institute of Technology based on Sherkin Island, West Cork, fulfilling a lifelong dream.  She graduated in 2014 with 1st Class honours.

Rita’s work combines an array of multimedia such as installation, video, photography, print and drawing.  She is influenced by her observations of the human relationships to their surroundings. She is fascinated by everyday materials and the process by which she can manipulate these to adapt to place and concerns. She likes to include the public into the creation of her work in site specific installation.
